Important Reminder for Fall On Campus Return
Dear students,
We are excited to have you back on campus starting Monday, August 24th for classes! Though it will be a fall start unlike any other, we look forward to your return and the opportunity to learn and grow together this fall.
I wanted to send a follow up reminder of what each of us are asked to do in order to keep each other safe and continue in on-site classes. Please commit to the following practices that promote a safe environment:
Personal Protective Measures
Wear a mask that covers both nose and mouth when in public campus spaces, including in classrooms, acknowledging that “my mask protects you, and your mask protects me.”
Make every effort to remain at least 6 feet away from others and work to keep space when others pass by in the hallways.
Wear masks outside when meeting with others if 6 feet of distance cannot be maintained.
Wash hands often and use hand sanitizer on a regular basis while on campus.
Be mindful and observant of any instructional signs, classroom spacing, or posted guidelines.
Find creative, non-touch ways to acknowledge and greet others on campus.
Health Status
Bear the responsibility for not coming to campus when feeling ill or when advised by a medical professional. Please be in touch with your faculty directly to arrange class participation via Zoom until you are able to return.
Monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and do not come to campus if you have a temperature above 100.0 F or exhibit COVID symptoms.
Contact the centralized COVID-19 response email with any COVID related questions or if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or are presumptive positive (exposure to a known case of COVID and exhibiting symptoms) to facilitate contract tracing and receive advising about campus return.
To keep our community safe, the appropriate authorities will follow up with those who choose not to follow these community expectations.
Fall Courses and Staffing
Please reach out to your faculty directly if coming to campus for your residential class is not advisable or feasible and you need to attend a class session(s) via Zoom. We encourage you to reach out to the Registrar’s office for advising if you have questions or need assistance navigating course selections.
Please see the updated hours for offices and services below starting on Monday, August 24th:
Admin Building: Offices will be open to students Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for drop ins and appointments.
Our staff continue in full operation and will continue working part-time on campus to keep office occupancy at 50% as recommended by state mandates.
Staff are available for in-person meetings on their days in the office and during regular business hours M-F (8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.) through Zoom. To minimize unneeded contact, we encourage phone and Zoom appointments.
Library: Patrons will be limited up to 50% occupancy. A time limit may be imposed to be in the library if there is a queue for entry.
