Doctoral Students

Page in Progress

The Writing Center understands the challenges students face as they complete advanced classwork and write theses and dissertations. Writing at the doctoral level involves deeper research, higher expectations, and more complex writing than graduate work. This level of work demands specialized editorial and academic support which we are pleased to offer you.

Writing Center Services and Resources

Editing: We have a limited staff of editors available to edit DMin and PhD classwork and DMin theses and PhD dissertations for $30/hr on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact Jana Matthews to request editing.

Tutoring/Coaching: If you are interested in receiving tutoring or coaching on your classwork or thesis/dissertation, please check with your program directors for referrals.

Resources: As of fall 2024, all DMin and PhD students will be required to write their theses and dissertations in APA Style. DMin students who began their program prior to the fall of 2024 will complete their classwork and thesis in Turabian. Please visit our Resources page for our current list of APA Style and Turabian writing resources.
